Every December, 1 STEP FORWARD INC unites the Hermosa Beach community to celebrate the season with purpose. Our signature event—the 12 Bars of Christmas Pub Crawl & Charity Toy Drive—brings together locals and visitors to enjoy festive fun, support neighborhood businesses, and give back to children in need. With every gathering, we turn joyful moments into meaningful impact.

Our Mission
1 STEP FORWARD INC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to strengthening community and giving back through festive, purpose-driven events and local partnerships. What began as a simple holiday pub crawl among friends has grown into a cherished annual tradition—one that now brings joy and essential support to hundreds of families each season.
Why We Do It
We believe that joy, community, and compassion are most powerful when shared. By combining celebration with meaningful charitable action, we help create deeper connections throughout Hermosa Beach. Through our annual toy drive, held in partnership with the Hermosa Beach Police Department, we provide direct support to families in need and ensure every child experiences the magic of the holidays.

Join 1 STEP FORWARD INC as we bring festive cheer to Hermosa Beach with our annual holiday pub crawl! Get ready to stroll down Pier Avenue and Hermosa Avenue in your most spirited holiday attire—all while giving back to local families.
Date: Friday, December 13, 2025
Time: 7:00 PM – Midnight
Cost: Free to join—just bring an unwrapped toy! 🎁
Dress Code: Ugly sweaters, Santa suits, reindeer onesies—anything fun and festive!
Where Your Donation Goes: All toys collected will benefit the Hermosa Beach Police Department Toy Drive, supporting children and families in need during the holiday season
🎁 Donate a Toy – Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the event or drop it off at participating bars.
👯 Volunteer – Help us coordinate, decorate, and keep the festivities running smoothly.
